SWWIC Cheque Handover Presentation/High Tea Event
South West Women In Construction Built On solid foundations
South West Women in Construction (SWWIC) an extremely successful group of women who work in all disciplines within the construction industry throughout the whole of the South West Region, yet again used their fundraising skills to collect £1,500 for the Children’s Hospice South West.
SWWIC presented a cheque to representative Bernadette Thoreau, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser (West), during a celebratory “High Tea” held at the renown Hotel Endsleigh in Tavistock.
SWWIC Chair Lucy George-Foster said: ” All of our members have shown wonderful collaboration and commitment to raise a substantial sum during an extremely tough economic climate. Working together has been a pleasure for us all especially with such a worthwhile aim of assisting The Hospice.”
SWWIC provides women working in the construction industry throughout the South West an opportunity to give a personal presentation speech during Breakfast Meetings, meet new and existing members, network and share experiences. On Thursday, 21st April 2011, SWWIC will present the annual trivia quiz trophy, generously sponsored by Interserve project Services Limited and would welcome at this event prospective new members who work in the South West Construction Industry.
