I think everyone enjoyed taking part in fundraising and looked as if they were having great fun. Our thanks also go to the many businesses within the business and construction industry, throughout the South West Region, who have shown us tremendous support in helping us raise money for the Hasler Company and the Children’s Hospice South West’s Precious Lives Appeal.”
One of the two recipiants is Hasler Company. Hasler Company is part of the Royal Naval Recovery Pathway and supports service people who have complex long term injures and illnesses as well as there families. Hasler Company is located within the Royal Naval Base, HMS Drake.
Thanks to the kind hospitality of Commodore Steven Dearden, Naval Base Commander Devonport and Simon Cowls, General Manager of Interserve Defence Ltd., members and guests of SWWIC were taken on a specially organised tour of a submarine anchored in the Dockyard, before enjoying High Tea in the most spectacular setting of HMS Drake.
SWWIC presented two individual cheques to the sum of £1,800 to each of their adopted charities, the Hasler Company and to representative Bernadette Thoreau, Corporate Partnership’s Fundraiser (West), Children’s Hospice South West.
