Women in STEM – Inaugural Event 30th September

stem-logoWomen in STEM Plymouth is a new local social network formed with the sole purpose of tackling gender stereotypes and imbalances within the STEM (Science, technology, engineering and maths) -related professions and careers.

This event will mark the launch of Women in STEM Plymouth with a networking event for female STEM professionals and technicians employed in the Plymouth travel-to-work-area. It is also open to people (even males!) in positions that can help influence and turnaround the current situation which shows, for example, that currently only 6% of engineers are women.

Please note this particular event is neither targeted at female students nor school pupils – that will follow at later events.
